Crypto.com to Delist USDT and 9 More Tokens for European Clients

Cryptus Exchange Crypto.com became one of the first platforms to announce the delisting of the company’s stablecoins Tether and nine other tokens in Europe following the entry into force of the Markets in Cryptoassets Regulation ().

In addition to the USDT stablecoin, Crypto.com will also be removed from the platform Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), Dai (DAI), Pax dollar (PAX), Pax gold (PAXG), PayPal USD (PYUSD), Crypto.com Staked ETH (CDCETH), Crypto.com Staked SOL (CDCSOL), Liquid CRO (LCRO) and XSGD (XSGD).

The exclusion of these 10 assets from the crypto exchange list will occur on January 31, but even after delisting Crypto.com will continue to support the issuance of these tokens until the end of Q2025 XNUMX.

Users holding these tokens will have until the end of Q31, or March XNUMX, to convert them into MiCA-compliant assets, otherwise they will be automatically converted into compliant ones. stablecoin or an asset of corresponding market value, the spokesman said. Crypto.com.

The crypto exchange’s decision is in line with a recent statement from the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), which required European crypto asset service providers to restrict the use of non-MiCA-compliant stablecoins from January 31.
