Investment company BlackRock has increased its stake in Strategy to 5%

Asset manager has bought another 1,78 million of (formerly ), increasing its stake from 4,09% to 5%.

In a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), BlackRock said it owned a total of 31 million Strategy common shares as of Dec. 2024, 11,26, compared with 30 million as of Sept. 2024, 9,48.

While the exact purchase price for these additional shares is unknown, they are currently valued at about $584 million, based on a current share price of about $325. At that price, BlackRock’s 11,26 million Strategy shares are worth about $3,67 billion.

Strategy is the largest corporate holder of , holding 471 BTC worth about $107 billion. Despite a net loss of $48 million in Q670 2024, Michael Saylor’s company continues to implement its “21/21 Plan.” Its goal is to raise $42 billion to buy more Bitcoin. So far, the company has raised about $20 billion for this purpose through debt and equity financing.

The recent rebranding from MicroStrategy to Strategy further underscored the company’s status as the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin.
