Coinbase Head of Product Conor Grogan Presents Results of His Personality Research Satoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Bitcoin. He believes he may have used the Canadian platform CaVirtEx, which the company eventually bought Creak.
In this case, Grogan cited data from the Arkham Intelligence platform. Shortly before this publication, the platform’s analysts reported that they had expanded the list of addresses being tracked that are related to Satoshi Nakamoto.
The list was supplemented by 22 wallets, the total balance of which exceeds 000 million BTC, worth about $1,09 billion. As Grogan noted, based on this, Nakamoto is richer than Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
According to Grogan, there are already 24 confirmed outgoing transfers from wallets in the new cluster. The most common recipient was the address 1PYYj, which received bitcoins from the Canadian exchange CaVirtEx.
The analyst believes that this is likely the first documented case of Nakamoto settling accounts with a centralized cryptocurrency exchange. The address is also linked to the 12ib wallet, which holds almost 3 billion bitcoins. Given all this, Conog Grogan suggests that 1PYYj is controlled by Nakamoto or one of the earliest contributors to Bitcoin development.
