Roskomnadzor, the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media, for the fourth time blocked user access to one of the largest services for monitoring data on crypto exchange services BestChange.ru.
Representatives of the portal reported that, most likely, the latest blocking was caused by the entry into force of certain provisions of the law on cryptocurrency mining and advertising of digital assets in Russia, restricting their advertising and anything that helps move coins.
A BestChange representative added that the official mirror on a separate domain has been working since the first blocking in 2018, and the platform’s lawyers are currently working on the issue of unblocking, as was done previously.
The platform was first blocked in 2017, then in 2019. The last blacklisting took place in 2020. The blockings were carried out on the basis of court decisions that found the resource guilty of posting prohibited information, introducing surrogate money into circulation, or legalizing cryptocurrencies. The site is currently on the list of blocked platforms.
Roskomnadzor has not commented on the official reason for blocking the resource.
